The all-new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta has arrived at 401 Dixie Volkswagen. And it's been subtly redesigned to deliver a more premium look and feel. Here are five things we love about this longstanding favourite compact sedan.
The 2019 Jetta is the 6th VW nameplate to incorporate the MQB platform, shared with other models like the new Atlas. Consequently, this new Jetta is now wider, longer and lower to the ground than the outgoing model. The wheel base is stretched to 105.7 inches, which helps the car maintain its proportions even with an overall length that has grown to 185.1 inches.
The new Jetta offers more standard features than you might first expect. This includes full-LED lighting and a much-improved infotainment system. In fact, the spectacular 400-watt, 8-channel-7-speaker BeatsAudio system, standard on the top SEL trim, sounds absolutely sublime. Of course, the infotainment systems fully supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and VW's Mirrolink connectivity.

The new look is dominated by a large grille, flanked by the C-shaped LED daytime running lights mentioned earlier. It's a much more expressive face for the vehicle. From there, the fastback-like roofline and character lines - what VW refers to as Tornado lines - add an upscale look to this 7th generation Jetta.
Safety is Key…and the available equipment on the 2019 Jetta is impressive. Blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is standard on all trims except the base Comfortline model. Moving up trims gets you the Driver Assistance package, including forward collision warning, auto braking, adaptive cruise control, auto high beams and lane departure warning.
The Jetta's new, updated cabin may be it's most appreciated new feature. Cloth and leatherette are of such high quality that the full leather package seems almost unnecessary. More soft-touch surfaces and available ambient lighting are bonuses, and a striking dashboard that could have been lifted from sister brand, Audi, ensures a luxurious interior experience. All of this contributes to virtually zero engine, wind and road noise. In that, the new Jetta truly sets a class benchmark.
BONUS: The 2019 Jetta even has the option for vented cooling seats to stay cool on a hot summer day.
So there's just 5 of the reasons we love the new 2019 Volkswagen Jetta. Right now, we've got great incentives to get you into one of your own.
